Spice Up Your Practice

Why Should I Join a Workshop?
Our workshops are designed to help you provide better care to your patients and clients while giving the most up-to-date nutrition data to drive your decision making. Our team is comprised of experts with years of experience in the Food is Medicine space, and Open Hand is an accredited Food is Medicine Coalition agency.
After the class, participants will be able to:
- Describe the link between diet and the development of chronic diseases related to the presented topic
- Develop the skills to provide personalized dietary recommendations and education to patients/clients for the management of the presented topic
- Recognize the role of specific nutrients, food groups, and dietary patterns in either increasing or decreasing risk
If you have questions, you can email Kristen Avera, MS, RDN, LD, CDCES, Nutrition Services Manager, or call 404-981-6533.
